About

I am a Creative Director who has worked for some of the biggest advertising agencies in South Africa. I love writing, in any form, and believe that words can transform the way we live.

I have extensive, hands-on experience in branding and advertising, and understand the need for clear, smart communications. Being on the creative side of advertising, I have learnt to look the human truth behind every problem, then finding the most innovative, creative solutions to solve that problem. I’ve also been lucky enough to win Loeries, Cannes shortlists and got In-book at D&AD.

I’ve worked on some of the biggest brands in South Africa. These brands include Adidas, Pick ‘n Pay, Steers, Pedigree, Standard Bank, Liberty, Discovery Bank, Nissan, Mazda, Investec, Tiger Brands, SAA, South African Tourism, and Visa. I’m a strategic thinker with a passion for big ideas and love to work with people who think there is more to life than just getting by… While we are here, we might as well put a dent in the Universe.

I’ve had the opportunity to travel to various parts of the world and believe that experiences like belly dancing on the Nile, elephant back riding in the jungles of Thailand, and skydiving in Vegas can teach you a lot about life and add a little something extra to your work ethic. In and amongst my travels, I also worked as a chef, a camp counsellor, a lumberjack, and even got a job at Hamley’s in London as a magician – I kid you not!

I’ve worked with some amazing advertising agencies that have shaped the way that I work and given me the experience I need to mould the way that people see brands. If you have any questions, or would like to book me for any speaking engagements, please feel free to contact me. I would love to have a chat over a cup of coffee.
